Death is indeed a very troublesome scenario, it means irrevocable loss. However, it gives us quite a bit of clarity into healthcare scenarios around the world. The crude death rate can be defined as the number of deaths per year per thousand people.
According to CIA World Factbook, the crude rate as of 2014 is 7.89, which is way lower than 8.37 (in 2009). This is just an indicator of the number of deaths per year and not an indicator of the medical excellence achieved. Even though developed countries have better healthcare, because the number of elderly people is higher, at times they could have a higher crude death rate as compared to underdeveloped countries. However, this does give clarity as to the number of people who are leaving this world forever.
Currently, Cardiovascular Diseases are the number one cause of death globally (annually). As per the 2008 statistics of WHO, an estimated 17.3 million people died of Cardiovascular Diseases; this is about 30% of all global deaths. It is also estimated that, by 2030, there will be approximately 23 million people who will die annually of Cardiovascular Diseases. It is quite well known that tobacco abuse, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity can lead to increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Doctors play a very important role even though hospitals may have state-of-the-art facilities. Their quick diagnosis and effective treatment procedures play an important role in the recuperation of the patient. The most common type of heart surgery is Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Especially when people have heart blockages the right treatment/surgery is very crucial to the survival of the individual. Always keep in mind that doctors and nurses play a very important role in post-surgery care.
