Dr. Joel Prasad GL is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with many years of experience and expertise in orthopaedics and sports medicine. He has developed an exclusive specialist practice in sports medicine and injuries including complex reconstructive procedures. His mission is to help patients achieve their pre-injury status with near-perfect results.

He completed his MBBS From the prestigious Govt medical college - Hassan Institute Of Medical Sciences ( HIMS). He went on to pursue his post-graduation D Ortho from Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore and DNB Orthopaedics and Traumatology from MIOT International in Chennai. His desire to gain clinical acumen and expertise drove him to pursue a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgery ( FSULS ) Under the aegis of the Shoulder Elbow Society in India. Further, he obtained specialist training and a Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine ( FASM - Indo-Japanese) a fellowship in Computer Navigation Arthroplasty / Robotic Joint replacement Surgeries ( Indo-Japanese). He has attended many National and International conferences and obtained sub speciality Training under Indo German Orthopaedic Foundation ( IGOF), the Shoulder Elbow Society of India ( SESI), the British Shoulder Elbow Society ( BESS), the Indo-British Health Initiative (IBHI) and many more.

He has gained sufficient expertise and experience in the management of sports injuries of the Shoulder and elbow including arthroscopic repairs/ reconstructions and arthroplasty of the shoulder (TSA/Reverse / Hemi and stemless arthroplasty) and elbow.  He is trained in a high-volume trauma centre and has acquired expertise in the management of complex trauma, peli acetabular injuries and polytrauma. He is also trained in the management of sports injuries of the lower limb, limb reconstructions and deformity correction. Owing to clinical training by renowned international faculty and Orthopaedic Stalwarts he has developed expertise in Joint replacement of Hip and Knee ( Primary and Revision) surgeries including computer navigation assisted and Robotic joint Replacement Surgeries.
