She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from R.G. Kar Medical College, Kolkata, and later pursued a Masters of Surgery (MS) in Ophthalmology. After working as a senior resident for three months at Kothari Hospital, Kolkata, she obtained Sankara Nethralaya Research and Training Foundation (SRTF) Fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. She also underwent Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) and Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery (FLACS) training, broadening her expertise in the field.
