  • Dr. Rahul Sharma is one of the very first Pediatric Hematologist Oncologists and Bone marrow Transplant physicians in Rajasthan. He did his MBBS at Kipauk Medical College, Chennai. He pursued his MD in Pediatrics from Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer, Rajasthan, and completed the training in 2015. After completing his MD in Paediatrics, he started working as a registrar in Pediatric Hematology Oncology & BMT at Manipal Hospitals, Jaipur. In 2017, he joined his Fellowship of National Board (FNB) training in Pediatric haematology-oncology from the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, India, which he completed in 2019. Soon after this, he started working as a consultant in Pediatric haematology-oncology, BMT at Manipal Hospital, Jaipur, where he played a crucial role in developing top-notch, cutting-edge paediatric hemato-oncology services and moving the BMT programme forward. He is an acclaimed paediatrician in Jaipur.  

  • His primary area of interest is both haematological and non-haematological malignancies in children, adolescents, and young adults. He had earned vast experience treating kids with various serious blood-related disorders like thalassemia, Sickle cell Disease, aplastic anaemia, bone marrow failure syndromes, primary immune deficiencies, refractory anaemia, and platelet disorders as well as malignancies like acute leukaemia (ALL, AML, and CML), lymphomas, Wilms tumor, neuroblastoma, brain tumors, bone tumors (Osteosarcoma & Ewing sarcoma), hepatoblastoma, and retinoblastoma, etc. He is keenly interested in performing both autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplants, including mismatched and haploidentical donor transplants(both post-transplant Cyclo and T cell-depleted). He has a long-standing interest in discovering the underlying pathways that drive the post-stem cell transplant complications. He is very experienced in administering various immunotherapies and targeted therapies for various indications to children in need. He has a goal to provide affordable and standard-of-care treatment to all children with blood and cancer disorders. He is also associated with childhood cancer survivorship and late effects programmes. He enjoys frequently holding educational sessions on children's cancer for both the general public and medical professionals.
