Mr. Karthik Rajagopal said, The priority would be to return to pre-pandemic levels in terms of operations and business. Dr H Sudarshan Ballal said , We need to be aware of the distinctions between a booster dose and an additional dose. A booster dose is given to healthy people after a few months of receiving the second dose when the immunity is likely to have waned whereas an additional dose is administered to immunocompromised hosts who may not have mounted an immune response to the usual doses because of their medical conditions.

Dr H Sudarshan Ballal said, I believe that there is no need for panic. We do not know very much about the virus. What we do know that this virus has many mutants, which may make it more infective and spread more rapidly. So far we are not sure it causes any severe disease and there are questions on the efficacy of the vaccine. So far, we have all the measures needed that is - robust public healthcare system, surveilling, genome testing, and most importantly is follow COVID-appropriate behavior to prevent the rapid spread of the disease.
