Mr. Sameer Agarwal- The comments by the RBI can be seen in the somewhat hawkish policy and also risk of high inflation remains given the increase in expected oil rate to $100/ barrel from $75 earlier and RBI in my view may take more measures to normalize surplus liquidity then increase policy rates. I expect interest rates may remain volatile in the next 3-6 months due to Hawkish Fed, higher domestic supply, and gradual withdrawal of RBI policy support in the next 2 policy meetings.

Inflation, thus, needs to be moderated and the impending rate hike will happen back home. But, to my mind, the rate hike as and when it happens should not be a major worry for the CFOs unless and until there is a problem in demand and supply in the markets...CFOs have reduced debts on the books during the pandemic, which should help them tackle the impending rate hike.
