    Overview

  • Dr. Jayati Sengupta is a paediatrician, based in Kolkata, West Bengal. She is associated with Manipal Hospitals, Mukundapur in the capacity of Senior Consultant in the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology. 

  • She completed her MBBS from Calcutta Medical College, with Honours and went on to pursue her post-graduation in Pediatrics to earn herself an MD. In Pediatrics from University College of Medicine, Kolkata.  Thereafter she went to Birmingham Children's Hospital in the U.K. to pursue a training in Paediatric Nephrology, where her special interest lies. 

  •  Dr. Sengupta has been on the faculty list at the National Conference of Pediatrics(PEDICON) and the National Conference of Pediatric Nephrology (ISPNCON) regularly for many years now.  She has attended many CME programmes as a faculty in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology. She also received a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Nutrition from Boston University. She has had several publications in national and international journals and authored chapters in textbooks on Pediatric Nephrology.

  • Dr. Sengupta has been an honorary visiting faculty of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, and Clinical Research at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and has been a guide for students pursuing an M.Pharma and Diploma in Clinical Research, in collaboration with AMRI Hospitals, for the last 5 years. She has also acted as a co-guide for students pursuing DNB in Family Medicine.

  • Dr. Sengupta has been attached to AMRI Hospitals since 1998, initially as a Registrar and then as a Full Time  Consultant in the Dhakuria Unit before moving on to the Mukundapur unit in 2011. She has been a key player in the growth and development of the Paediatrics Department right from its nascent stage to where it stands today.
