  • A senior clinical psychologist and mental health needs advocate is registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and has clinical experience of over 10 years in the health sector. She has worked as a consultant, clinician, academician, researcher, faculty, supervisor, resource person and mentor in her career so far. She has completed her educational journey at the esteemed University of Calcutta. She holds a PhD degree in child and adolescent mental health. She has undergone her clinical training in elite institutes, viz., Medical College and Hospital; NRS Medical College and Hospital and Bangur Institute of Neurology where she has been trained formally by neurologist faculties for assessing and diagnosing patients suffering from neurological conditions like CVA, Movement disorders, Epilepsy and many more. She has also been trained in Psychiatry inpatient and rehabilitation services from RINPAS, Kanke Ranchi (2012) and underwent obsership in Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neurosciences from NIMHANS, Bengaluru (2017). She has worked with a Neuro Team with expertise in Stroke and Dementia care at Manipal Hospitals Mukundapur from 2016 to 2020. Her clinical expertise is varied and diverse. She assesses neurodivergent children for the presence of developmental delays and provides parent training to the carers. Her expertise lies in patients of the age group: 2 years to 85+ years. She further works in collaboration with different educational institutions and schools for psychoeducational evaluations including ADHD and LD assessment, childhood emotional and behavioural problems; and teenage/ adolescent counselling.  She carries out psychometric evaluations and counselling for adults suffering from anxiety and depression, relationship turmoil; marital distress and adjustment problems. Additionally, she is one of the few experts in the city known to carry out neuropsychological evaluations of dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases along with geriatric counselling. She specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and other second and third-wave therapies and is a member of the Asian CBT association. She has also been an invited speaker and resource person in mental health workshops. She has also been a part of various multidisciplinary research endeavours which explore the relationship between psychological health in hospital and clinic-based patient populations.
