  • Dr. Ranjan Shetty, an exceptionally skilled and well-known physician, works as the HOD and Consultant in Interventional Cardiology at the Manipal Hospitals, Old Airport Road, Bangalore.   • Dr. Ranjan Shetty, an exceptionally skilled and well-known physician, works as the HOD and Consultant in Interventional Cardiology at the Manipal Hospitals, Old Airport Road, Bangalore. Dr. Shetty specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, assisting patients in achieving optimal heart health. He completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College in 2002; MD in Medicine from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, in 2005; and DM in Cardiology from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, in 2007. Dr. Shetty has over two decades of experience and has specialised in cardiology, specifically interventional cardiology. This involves the use of catheter-based techniques to diagnose and treat cardiac conditions. His research work has been published in national and international journals. On January 1, 1990, the former Indian President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam presented Dr. Shetty with the Best House Physician award at AIIMS. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and has earned the Fellowship of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC). Dr. Shetty is an acclaimed interventional cardiologist in Oldairportroad, Bangalore.

He has been performing intricate coronary interventions for over two decades. Some of the procedures listed are stenting for aortic dissections and Takayasu arteritis, left central interventions, chronic occlusion, rota-ablation, para-valvular leak closures, bifurcation lesions, atrial septal defect device closures, patent ductus arteriosus device closures, and ventricular septal defect closures. Dr. Shetty is recognised as a pioneer in Southeast Asia for his expertise in the closure of the left atrial appendage. Furthermore, the doctor has organised and chaired numerous international cardiology conferences. Dr. Shetty specialises in interventions for structural heart disease, peripheral interventions, and device implantations, among other medical procedures. He is an expert in trans-aortic valve implantations, complex coronary interventions, and device implantations. Dr. Shetty's extensive expertise in cardiology has resulted in significant contributions to the field.
