Microlaryngoscopies is a surgical procedures performed using a laryngoscope. This instrument containing a microscope is inserted through the mouth to thoroughly examine the vocal folds. Using this technique, vocal fold lesions are surgically removed without any external incisions.
Post-operative instructions:
Total voice rest is recommended for the first two days and limited talking for the next five days.
Avoid smoking after the surgery.
Avoid coughing and throat clearing as it may have a harsh impact on voice folds. Try to suppress the coughing sensation by drinking a sip of water.
Take the anti-reflux and other medications regularly as per the doctor's instructions.
