There are three most common ENT procedures:
Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy (tonsils): Adenoidectomy is performed to remove the adenoids, small lumps located close to the nasal cavity. Tonsillectomy is performed to remove the tonsils when the upper airway is partially or completely blocked by the tonsils.
Myringotomy with Tube Insertion (ear tubes): In this procedure, a tube is inserted inside an ear to prevent recurrent infections.
Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS): This procedure is performed to remove any blockage in the sinus area or to open the sinus openings for easier drainage.

Most patients with chronic sinus don’t need surgery. A few lifestyle changes and medicines can keep your symptoms under control. But if the symptoms get worse then surgery is the best alternative.
Tonsillectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils due to tonsillitis. The most common method of performing Tonsillectomy is cold knife dissection.
