  •  As a result, there may be less cement leakage and fewer complications. Typically, balloons are inserted bilaterally into each fractured vertebral body.

  • Kyphoplasty is typically performed under general anaesthesia in 1.5 hours. Patients are usually monitored for a few hours after surgery, but some may require an overnight hospital stay.
