An 87-year-old man got new life through Trans aortic valve replacement surgery at Manipal hospital, Vijayawada. 87 years old geriatric who had been admitted to the emergency ward at Manipal hospital Vijayawada with abnormal blood pressure values and in unconscious stage got operated on by Manipal hospital cardiologists. The patient already had valve replacement surgery 10 years back, where replaced wall degenerated, creating an obstruction to free movement of blood into the heart. The degenerated valve was replaced with a new valve, which is a rare surgery that saved the life of an 87 years old geriatric.
